Chakras-Energy centers…Revisited

Major and Minor chakras
Earlier in my blog, the location and significance of seven major chakras (energy centers) in our body was reviewed. However, further study on this subject has revealed the presence of  many more chakras.
The existence of these chakras have been mentioned in many holy books. The Bhagvad Gita mentions a city with nine gates, also the Hindu scriptures mention eleven gates whereas the Holy Bible mentions twelve gates. The city corresponds to our body and gates are chakras.
8th and 9th chakras --- Spleen and Navel chakras.
10th and 11th chakras --- Meng Mein and Forehead chakras.
12th  chakra --- Shiva Center.

 8. Spleen Chakra
The front spleen chakra is located at the middle part of the left bottom rib. It is the major entry point for air vitality globule. It energizes and distributes energy to other major chakras and the entire body. The back spleen chakra is located at the back of the front spleen chakra. The front and back spleen chakra has similar functions. During healing sessions, this chakra is never energized. However, if a blockage in this chakra is encountered, it should be removed.

9. Navel Chakra
This chakra is located on the navel. It controls and energizes the small intestine, large intestine, and appendix. It affects the general vitality of a person. Malfunctioning of the navel chakra manifests as constipation, appendicitis, difficulty in giving birth, low vitality and other diseases related to the intestines.

10.  Meng Mein Chakra
This chakra is located at the back of the navel. It is responsible for the upward flow of subtle energies coming from the basic chakra. It controls and energizes the kidneys, and adrenal glands. It also controls the blood pressure. Malfunctioning of this chakra manifests as kidney problems, low vitality, and high blood pressure and back problems.  During healing sessions, this chakra is never energized as it may lead to severe complications in the patient. However, if blockage in this chakra is encountered, it should be removed.

11. Forehead Chakra
This chakra is located at the center of the forehead. It controls and energizes the pineal gland and the nervous system. Malfunctioning of the forehead chakra may manifest as loss of memory, paralysis and epilepsy. Energizing this chakra floods the whole body with energy.

12. Shiva Center
12th chakra is located 12 inches above the head. It looks like a golden star. Shiva tatva is housed here. When an individual matures spiritually, this chakra transforms into a golden pearl, golden ball, bud or a flame. In an evolved yogi, this chakra blooms like a golden lotus. The golden halo around the head of many religious leaders signifies a highly developed 12th chakra…Practising meditation regularly helps in activation of this chakra and experience inner stillness.
